The Scottish Information Commissioner's Annual Report and Accounts sets out the activities and achievements of the organisation over the last year, alongside the Commissioner's commentary on freedom of information in Scotland and the performance of his office.

The Commissioner's Annual Report and Accounts for 2025-26 highlights the impact of rising appeal volumes on his organisation, sets out a range of achievements over the year, and provides updates on measures designed to reform FOI in Scotland.

Annual Report and Accounts 2021-22 (PDF)

The Commissioner's full Annual Report and Accounts was laid before the Scottish Parliament in December 2022.

Prior to the laying of the full report, an abridged version of the report (which did not include the Commissioner's audited Annual Accounts and Financial Statements) was laid before the Scottish Parliament during October 2022, in compliance with section 46 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
